Looking to create a vm appliance, based on centos6.
The goal is to allow a user to download the appliance, to run the app on their box.
The app needs to somehow get an IP, as well as DNS to run on the host system, but I don't want to allow the user to login to the appliance to configure the OS.. I'd like to somehow accomplish this via some script process, and then feed the IP into the vm/appliance.
Anybody have pointers/skills on how to implement this?
(Given that the appliance is going to run in the background, and never interface with other local systems, might be possible to harcode a DNS, and just deal with the IP address issue.)
