Hi,
We have a new Datacenter under our vCenter with 6 new hosts. I have been using RVTools for a while, and i noticed now that in case of the new datacenter, the Network and Switch names are missing in the vNetwork table.
What could be the problem?
Can't really help you with RVTools, but are these also missing when you query with PowerCLI?
Get-VMHost -PipelineVariable esx | Get-VirtualSwitch -PipelineVariable vsw | Get-VirtualPortGroup |
Select @{N='VMHost';E={$esx.Name}},
@{N='vSwitch';E={$vsw.Name}},
@{N='Portgroup';E={$_.Name}}

Using PowerCLI there is no difference between Datacenters. I can list everthing correctly.
I suggest you contact Rob about your issue.

I know this is an old thread but we just recently noticed that on one of our vcenters we experience the same behaviour using the most recent version of rvtools.
Did anyone find the cause to this?
No, but perhaps you should ask Rob.
I know he is very open to feedback and questions.
