about edge HA convergence time

Have you tested the convergence time of NSX edge HA?if I changed declare dead time is 3s.My result convergence time is 6.9s.

Do you have any lower timer?

From the VMware® NSX for vSphere (NSX-V) Network Virtualization Design Guide:

" The following are some important design and deployment considerations relative to the behavior of this HA model:

• The Standby NSX Edge leverages the expiration of a specific “Declare Dead Time” timer to detect the failure of its

Active peer. This timer is configured by default to 15 seconds and can be tuned down to a minimum value of 6

seconds (via UI or API call) and it is the main factor influencing the traffic outage experienced with this HA model."

VMware's best practice recommendation is to keep the timer to 9 seconds.

I will be testing this soon in my environment with dead interval as 9 seconds.

Once i get the test results will share the same.
