NSX 6.2.2 + IP Detection Type

Regarding DFW in NSX 6.2.2 , i understand that they have introduced a new feature to detect VM with IP Detection Method.

The reason for this is because I want to ensure that even for VMs without VMtools , DFW should be working.

So I was looking for the option to enable the IP Detection Method. It is mentioned in the document that it is under host preparation .But could not find it.

Any idea.

It is not a secondary NSX manager issue. It can happen to any instance when it is out of sync or it is not prepared(You can test it),mine was specific to secondary.

Is this an upgraded NSX instance by any chance ?  Try to click on resolve button and ensure all host preparation status is green.

No it is not upgraded one. It was installed freshly.

My point is why it is not showing the option?

I have seen one instance when my secondary nsx manager instance was out of sync with vSphere cluster/host ( It was a prepared cluster) .So all i did was clicked on resolve button and IP detection started showing after that.

Ohh OK got it.

In my environment we dont have secondary NSX Manager.

But for few clusters it shows host preparation not ready. Actually it is not a problem but confirmed from VMWare that it is due to display issue in NSX version 6.2.2

But is it sure that in NSX 6.2.2 version nornally the IP Detection method show ?
