Can't get guest OS (Win XP) to complete a shutdown

All,

I attempted to restart my instance of WinXP in Fusion and I can't get it to shut down. Is there some way to send a "hard reboot" to the guest OS? Or some process I can kill?

I'll be very disappointed if I have to reinstall Windows in my VM.

Thanks,

Wes

Cool - also, you can delete the .vmss file as described in this thread: http://communities.vmware.com/thread/148306

True and that is what I would have told you to do if you said you couldn't unsuspend the Virtual Machine however you asked "Is there some way to send a "hard reboot" to the guest OS?" which is why I posted what I did. Smiley Happy

I prefer the menu way, so I'm glad you posted it. Many thanks.
