From past experience, on-demand courses are for a fixed period, and automatically expire after 30 days. You can try to emailing mylearn_support@vmware.com and provide your case for extension, however I believe the extension is purely at the discretion of VMware.
Planning and scheduling time is the key to competing an on-demand course 🙂
