ESXi (free download) easily upgradeable to ESX (Foundation, Standard, Enterprise)??

Is ESXi that is a free VMware product easily upgradeable to one or all of the full versions? If so, what is the process? Also wondering what the limitations of ESXi are (only support for a limited amount of RAM, procs, etc?).

ESXi can be licenses for use in Virtual Center and the more advanced features at any time. Free ESXi does not have any limitations as compared to ESX when considering RAM and CPU.
