Just want to make sure my re-install path makes sence.
Already upgraded my VC to 2.5
I have 3.0.2 hosts. I am going to pull one out at a time and re-install a fresh 3.5. Disconnect the fiber during 3.5 install. Add this new 3.5 host back in the same farm as 3.0.2 hosts. Attached to the same original vmfs3 luns. Move vm's over to 3.5 hosts as resources allow. Continue this process until all hosts are at 3.5. Sound like a solid plan?
Thanks
Solid and rock like. Can't see any issues with this.
I ran upgrades on my 3.0.2 hosts to 3.0.5 and did not unplug anything or lose anything. It went smooth and all SAN storage was present when the system came online.
I have not applied patches to 3.0.2 since Oct 8th. So one bonus is I will have no patches to apply to 3.5 once I get the nodes converted. At least at the time of this posting
