Problems adding new processors

Hi there to all, hope I can tap a bit from your knowledge

I have 4 x HP 585 G2 with 12 GB of ram and 2 dual core processors, am runing ESX 3.01

If I run it like that I have absolutely no problem everything is good, but as soon as I add another 2 processors I get this error:

WARNING: MOD: 2434 Initialization of vmkernel failed, status 0xbad0013

I have read some other posts here and they all say that the error I am mentioning has to do with memory. But what gets me is that if I use only the 2 processors everything works fine ?

Or is it that as soon as I use the other 2 processor slots that I also have to add memmory in the memmory slots next to those processors??

Please any advice/help in this matter would be highly appreciated

The failure you have is because of memory disitribution along the dimms, according to: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=120&prodSeriesId=...

Do you have NUMA enabled? If so the memory in the server must be balanced in pairs and distributed across all processors.
