I have a Dell 2950 with a PERC5i RAID, running ESX3vi.
Open Manage is saying the driver for the PERC5 is not the correct version for the firmware.
Is there an updated ESX driver for this controller ?
Thanks
What version and build of ESX do you have? The I/O guide (http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vi35_io_guide.pdf) shows that megaraid_sas driver version is 3.0.9 for ESX 3.5

Minimum Required Driver Version 00.00.03.09
Looks like there was a glitch when it detected the controller. You may have to start over, but if you created VM's, you can reinstall as a new, and preserve the VMFS volumes. It takes the same time.

Vmware ESX Server, 3.02, 52542
You might want to update it to ESX 3.0.2 Update 1 or ESX 3.5 or install patch ESX-1001906 (http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1001906).
This will upgrade your driver.
