Hi Guys
Worked pretty hard since Christmas and passed my DCA in Jan and my DCD today
Both exams I would consider as pretty tough and good test of knowledge.
Thanks to Paul McSharry over at Elastic Sky for both his web page and offical study guide.
Imagine my surprise when I walked into the 5.x design course this week and Paul was the instructor - great course and great trainer, highly recomended

Congratulations!
In your opinion, which one is harder?
I say it depends on what your experience is and what your current job entails. If you design everyday then the DCD should be easier.
Im trying to get the perspective from someone who has taken both. Ive already passed DCD 2 months ago and currently preparing for DCA.
I've passed both and can tell you I found the DCA easier due to having done the DCA after being a VI admin for years but for my DCD i had changed jobs to a consultant and had been doing designs so in the end it came down to the fact that for the DCA you can practice again and again whereas DCD is mainly reading and knowing concepts to prepare.
@firestartah I am actually on the same boat as you are. Been an admin for years and transitioned to Consulting since last year. I took DCD first and was fortunate enough to pass (very difficult exam indeed). Now Im trying to gauge DCA. Hope it really is easier! Thanks for the comment 🙂
It certainly is difficult and one of the main challenges is the lag/delay whilst working on an environment.
I wrote about my DCA experience and the resources i used if your are interested

good luck
Hi Guys
For me DCA was more difficult but not due to the content it was all about the lag and time to answer. I did not managed to finish all the questions in the DCA but with the DCD I was finished with over 40 mins left.
one thing to note in the DCD is that you cant review any questions, once you press that next button its committed.
