Failed to create database tables

I attempted to install SRM 5 on a Windows 2008 R2 server.  I have the 32-bit ODBC connector setup with the user srmuser, which is the dbo and db_owner of the SRM_DB.  However, the install errored.  I clicked retry, and now I get the error:

"There is already an object named 'dr_table_catalog' in the database."

This SQL server is also my vCenter and VUM database.  The SRM database is the 3rd database in the default instance.  They all have unique usernames.

Any ideas why this happened, or where I could find the appropriate log files?  I'm not much of a SQL guru, but I should be able to troubleshoot this with some help.

Hi,

SRM has specific requirement of database configuration (found in the admin guide) and I believe you missed something.

Try re-create the DB from scratch using the instructions found in the following document:

http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-11547
