view storage iops and uplink sizing

Hi ,

Need help on IOPS and UPlink throughput using iSCSI.

requirements:

12 IOPs per win7 VM (assume)

100 concurrent users

3 ESXi

on average need ~1200 IOPs excluding view servers.

Using Raid5, how do i calculate storage uplinks MBps requirements from this IOPs?

Assume using mid range storage, 2SPs, If i aggregate 4x1G uplinks per processor together, that will give me 4G throughput per processor.

Will it be enough for this IOPs or Do i need 10G iSCSI module on storage?

what is the standard size of IOPs used in win7 VM?

I'm trying to figure this stuff out at the moment as well.  The VMware document: http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/view_storage_considerations.pdf mentions that the RAID5 causes 4 IOPS per write and estimates that 60% of the IOPS is writing.  That would mean you are dealing with ~3360 IOPS.
