Hi,
I have VMware view 5.0 standard server installed.
I have VPN configured.
So when I try to connect virtual machine using VPN it gives me blank screen and the session ends.
But if i connect using LAN the virtual machine is accessible.
I am using PCoIP protocol to connect.
Can nyone help on dis ???
So a few things, is the "External URL" correct and resolvable when coming from the VPN?
Are you tunneling or using direct connect for your PCoIP Sessions?
Does RDP work?
Any NAT when coming from the VPN?
// Linjo
Is 5.0 the latest version available?
My guess is that your VPN is blocking PCoIP wheras your internal LAN connections are not.
If it really is a transparent VPN, it should be the same as if those remote users are on the LAN in which case it would work just the same.
Your VPN vendor may be able to pint you to information such as VPN logs that will allow you to see what's being blocked. If there is a firewall in the way in the VPN case, it may be that that is blocking PCoIP.

Hi Mark,
Will Check the logs for VPN and check it out if it works
Thnks for the reply.
Linjo,
I havent tried with RDP protocol will try doing that also.
Thnks for the reply.
Is there a particular reason you are using VPN for this as opposed to a View Security server?
At any rate, the first thing to check would be that your VPN can tunnel both UDP and TCP, bidirectionally, for port 4172. That's the required PCoIP connectivity.
Then as previously mentioned, try RDP and see if that works.
Let us know the results and we can take it from there...
