I'm getting this error
it creates the parent , replica and template but then
Cloning of VM VDI-IC-002 has failed: Fault type is VC_FAULT_FATAL - The virtual disk is either corrupted or not a supported format.
any advice would be appreciated

Hi,
The cause of this error is that the parent VM is powered off.
Solution
Wait up to 5 minutes for the parent VM to be automatically powered on, and the cloning process will recover from the error condition.

The Parent VM never powered on , the provisioning stopped at this error
