navisphere agent on esxi

Do I need to install a navisphere agent on esxi for it to properly recognize the correct lun numbers that matches the ones in navisphere?

No - there is no navisphere agent for ESXi.

If you want to get that level of integration, use the EMC Virtual Storage Integration plugin thats free on powerlink.

VMware alwsays recognizes correct LUN numbers. As Matt  said, if you want EMC-VMware integration, you can always download *free* plugin for vCenter called VSI (Virtual Storage Integrator).

If you have problems downloading it - contact me in private messages.

i have VSI plugin installed. looking at one of the luns it has a different lun number than what its in navisphere.

I am just looking at the naa device id and comparing them but shows different lun numbers.

also in the EMC VSI tab/ under luns. I show an unknown Device ID and Type.
