USB HDD disapeared from my esxi server

Hi guys, we have a vmware esxi server hosting a windows small business 2011 server on a piece of dell hardware, until recently it was all working happily until suddenly USB passthrough appears to have stopped working and I can no longer do my windows backups!

as I am new to Vsphere what can I do to chek this out? I have ensured the settings are correct and the VM does have a usb controller enabled, I have tried mulitple usb drives to no avail!

Hi Tim,

What are the events leading up to is suddenly not working anymore? Are there any entries in the logs to give you an indication?

Can you try restart the management agents on the host (via SSH);

services.sh restart
