Hi all,
I installed vCenter v7.0 a while ago. It gave me an eval license. I installed my real license and up till now everything has been working.
Now, the datacenter for the corresponding ESXi server is disconnected because the eval license has expired. I have attached a screen shot.
When I try to reconnect, it tells me that the license has expired. I have attached the screen shots for this.
How do I fix this?
Thanks,
Rick
Under your licences it's not showing a vCenter license key.
If you have a vCenter license go to the assets tab, ensure your vCenter is selected and click on assign license
this then pops up a new window
choose existing or new license as appropriate
This message
implies that your vCenter eval license has expired. Is your vCenter on that IP?
vCenter is .99 and ESXi is .98
Hello,
From your screenshot seem you added and assigned a license for ESXi, but not the one related to your vCenter object which is a separate product.

I did assign the real license but it won't remove it from the Eval. How do I remove the eval license?

I was ale to fix this. The license key was incorrect. I added the correct license and all is well now.
Thanks
excellent, there's nothing worse than when licencing goes wrong.
Hello,
Already solved, good.
