Question regarding hardware support for880GMA-UD2H

I bought 880GMA-UD2H, and would lik to have ESX install for this MB

however I got stuck on USB and HDD while installing

I disabled USB and change the HDD mode to ACHI.

Now it stuck at CD-ROM ?!?! I am using Pioneer 219

Can anyone give me some suggestion that what I can do?

You will have issues trying to install to this desktop motherboard. While the motherboard itself isn't necessarily the issue you will have problems with the onboard components. The onboard Network card is not supported. You may have problems with the onboard disk controller as well. You can have a look at http://www.vm-help.com/esx40i/esx40_whitebox_HCL.php for adapters that others have had success with and other possible work arounds. There is also the http://vmware.com/go/hcl for officially supported hardware.
