I already registered but I got only download link. No any License.

Also as a update, you cant install the free hypervisor on the physical server with more than 32 GB RAM..

the 32 GB RAM is striction on both physical RAM as well as on the vRAM with vsphere 5 free hypervisor.

Also i have query is there any paid License for VMware vSphere Hypervisor 5 or is it free.

i come to know that paid one has more feature as compare to other.

or is it free only V-center need license to mange this.

In short is there any paid hypervisor or is it just free.

You're really better off starting a new thread for an unrelated query.

There is no free vCenter (there's a 60 day trial however). You can either:

* Use ESXi free edition, and manage it standalone

* Use a licensed vCenter to manage a licensed ESXi host, in order to utilise the extra features

The "free" and "paid" hypervisors are the exact same product, with a license key simply unlocking features. There are several differing editions of the licensed hypervisor, refer here:

The table doesn't compare the free edition, but the simple way to think of it is that every feature listed on the table is not available in the free edition.

Thanks for the reply.we was knowing that V-center need license.

one think i was not aware that with license one we are just unlocking the feature which are not in the free one.

so in short which means if i have v-center license then one can use all the feature of hypervisor which are not with the free one.

also since this thread look very close to license query so i thought to add this.

To use all features, you will need both a vCenter license, and an ESXi license depending on the features you want. "All" features will require Enterprise Plus edition.
