Hi
I've a Proliant DL320E (Gen2) with ESXi 5.5 and a few VM running, now I've tried to upgrade to 6.0.0 but after I select the hard disk the installer show this error:
"Expecting 2 bootbanks, found 1"
I've google about that and all I can find are topics related to iSCSI installations and not exactly the same error (I have "found 1", usually this error shows "found 0")
I've just two hard disks, no iSCSI, any hint for upgrade?
Regards
Hi,
Errors for "Found 1" normally relate to SAN booting, I'm assuming you don't have any San / FC presentations to this server ?
What IO card does the server have installed ? I assume if you are able to select the hard disk (and the information, size etc is correct )during the install it is at least detecting it.
DL320E G2 aren't on the HAL, unfortunately so not easy to locate drivers (if they exist) - Are you sure this is the correct model number as I'm impressed a gem 2 would run 5.5

No SUN, just internal hard disk, and yes, I can select the unit, right size, etc, and after that the error appears.
I have two servers, both DL320e Gen8 V2 running ESXi 5.5.0 (VMKernel Release Build 1746018), they run fine, I installed them from here:

Probably I'll need also a customized CD?
Sorry is this a Gen 2 or a Gen 8 V2 ?
Gen 8 V2 should have no problems, i installed a Gen 8 v2 DL360 from the HP ISO.

Seems that there is a special image for HP:
