Could not connect to one or more vCenter Server systems?

Hey folks,

I've had a strange error message pop up after I logged into the 5.1 Web Client.  I just setup the web client and after I logged in I get this error: Could not connect to one or more vCenter Server systems: 10.10.1.10.  I don't get this error on the desktop client.  I assume this is a old vcenter server that was setup and took down sometime before I started working here.  I want to remove this error message but can't seem to find a way.  Anyone have any advice?

Hi,

Have you taken a look at http://geeksilver.wordpress.com/2012/12/04/vsphere-5-1-x-vsphere-web-client-cannot-connect-to-vspher... ? it may be the wrong FQDN was entered during the vCenter installation. The other thing is to check your DNS tables for that ip address to see if it provides a clue as to what that IP address's hostname was
