Change from Thin to Thick using inflate --> specified parameter was not correct

Hello,

i wan to convert a VM-disk from thin to Thick.

When doing "inflate" a disk from the datastore i receive the error "A specified parameter was not correct" .

What to do to fix this?

please make sure u have shutdown  virtual machine and deleted all the snapshot before you proceeding inflate. after you inflate if u see "The disk is not thin-provisioned." that means already changed to thick and in order to see the thick u need to relaod the vmdk file by removing and rejoining the disk

Do you have adequate free space in the datastore that houses this thin disk?

Yes, more than 600 GB Free Space for a disk-file of 40 Gb.
