Affinity rules which automatically triggers Storage vMotion

Hi all

Is there a possibility to configure a affinity rule or something similar that automatically triggers a Storage vMotion if a VM does a vMotion on another host.

For example let's assume we have 2 sites, 1 ESXi host on each site.

If DRS triggers a vMotion for a VM on site A to site B I want automatically change the Datastore to site B. So vSphere has to trigger Storage vMotion to the Datastore on site B.

Is that possible?

This is not possible out of the box.

You would need to script some logic in PowerCLI or another language which monitors events or periodically checks the execution location of VMs and their datastore location, triggering svMotions if necessary.
