vmware converter standard

Guys I just started using vmware converter standard. I know that with standard you can only convert one physical at a time. My problem revolves around the destination target I can do a p2v to vmware server and workstation. However Ihave 2 ESX servers and I was not able to do a direct p2v to them I thought that standard would allow you to go to ESX. The ESX servers are ESX 3.0 and 3.0.1.

You'll have to run Standard on the machine you wish to import to ESX.

You can't run it remotely.

Using the starter version, you can import and send the new destination VM directly into ESX Server if you run Converter from the source physical machien, aka. a local hot clone.

You cannot initiate the hot clone remotely and send that to ESX Server. You can, however, send the results to a standalone VM, and then once that VM is created you can import the VM to ESX Server using a second step. With the enterprise version, you don't need these 2 steps.
