Vmwre Server to Vmware server ESX failed usin vmconverter entreprise edition

Hi,

i tryng to convert a vmware server image to my new vmware esx server . during the process when a choose the image i got this error message : insuficience permissions to access the source.

The vmware guest is stop and i use the administrator logging to do that

Can someone help me to find a solution

As I see it you have two choices in order to get this working.

1. Make sure that the version you are using is v3.02 update 1

2. You could simply image the machine using your favourite imaging tool (Ghost or something similar Acronis Trueimage) and restore it to a new VM and then use VMwareConverter to configure it.

1 yes i try with this one and v4 and same think

2 i resolve my problem for that i installed the converter on the vm machine and i lauch it directly on it.
