All-
I am moving my VMs on 2.5.3 to VI3 but the network properties are not coming with the move. All of the IPs are gone and when I try to add them back, I receive an error that the NIC is hidden.
Has anyone seen this issue? I have about 70 VMs to move tonight and would like to figure this out ASAP.
Thanks.
This is normal, Converter will not bring the NICs over.
You can delete the old NICs to avoid this message by going to a CMD prompt and type SET DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1 and then DEVMGMT.MSC and then select Show Hidden Devices. You will then see the old NICs that are greyed out and you can delete them.

Having the same problem :
Migrating several Physical Machines to ESX 3.0.1 VM.
How to automate this on the new VM:
1- Delete Hiden devices
2- Automatically re-configure the NIC with same parameters as the source machine.
