Is it necessary for us to install Converter Agent on the physical machine?

We have installed Converter Enterprise on the Server where "VC Server" is installed.

We would like to import a physical machine to ESX 3.0.2 host. Does it mean that we have to install "Converter Agent" on that physical machine ?

Thanks

i am not sure of converter and VC going on the same box, as both needs port 443..

Abt the installing of converter agent, when you run the converter tool, the agent gets automatically installed on the source machine. provided you give the correct credentials. (local admin account).

You can also use the cold clone boot CD if you don't want an agent installed. If you do a live migration you can uninstall the agent once it is a VM.
