We currently have 2 ESXi 5.5 hosts managed by a VCenter 6.0 appliance hosted on 1 of the Hosts. I am able to connect to both of the Hosts with root password, but the VCenter appliance I must seem to have used a different password. I did however setup domain rights to login to the VCenter through the VSphere Client. Is there a way to reset the root password while logged into VCenter as a domain admin? If that is not possible, what is the best way to reset the root password for that VCenter appliance?
Thanks!
There's a procedure documented here.
