Email to rest password not being sent

Horizon Workspace 1.5

Previously working until about 2-3 weeks ago.

When an external/virtual user requests their password to be reset, they are not receiving the email despite the page telling them an email has been sent.

Our AD servers have changed IP address but this has been updated in the appliance. The smtp DNS address has not changed.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Hi,

when you share a folder with an external user, is the invite received ?

One of our external partners reported the same issue a while ago and following another post that I have seen here I noticed that I had never changed in fact the sender email name of the reset password. It comes in a fancy format that some mail server can't accept, reject ...

Anyway if that is your case, if you have never changed the sender email proceed as follow :

Log in to the Data-va and execute the following commands as root, replacing user@domain.com with the desired e-mail address:

su - zimbra

zmprov mcf hzndataSystemMessageSender user@domain.com

It is advised of course to set this to an unmonitored mailbox such as a 'no-reply' address etc...

Hope this will solve your issue Smiley Wink

Good stuff Seb! I changed the sender address and it's working again! Curious why it all of a sudden stopped working? But, happy days.

Cheers.
