Backup for Linux VM with multiple disks

I have a RHEL 5 VM (2.6 kernel) with 3 disks. I can perform successfull backup of the VM but when i retsore it i get an error " e2fsck: cannot continue, aborting"

"fsck.ext3: No such file or directory while trying to open /dev/VolGroup00/c99"   [FAILED]

I've tried the backup and restore process twice with the same error. are there any specific guidelines for backing up a Linux VM with multiple disks attached to one volumegroup ??

What could a possible solution in this case ? Any help is much appreciated

Just to add here that the errors come when i power on the restored VM.

how did you backup in the first place? why not backup from VMDK level? it's for sure to work after restoration.

I used Acronis for Backup and Restore. and it's a full image backup.

Seems that the backyup or the restore are not taken all the disk or maybe are changing some UUID.

Check the documentation of Acronis (be sure to make a block level backup) or try another backup tool.
