How to configure Windows 2008 NFS to work with vSphere

Hi All,

I had a terrible time finding out how to set up NFS properly in Windows 2008 so it would work vSphere. I am attaching a PDF to this post on how to do it. It is not my document. Can't take any credit for it. It was written by the guys over at www.xtravirt.com. I just wanted to share the info.

The documentation I found from MS on setting up NFS using windows 2008 is completely useless. It appears to be written for 2003 not 2008. Here's the document. Hopefully this helps someone else.

In my opinion based on previous discussions, their have been reports of data corruption and vm lockups.

I wouldn't use it unless vmware supported it.
