EMC Celerra and ESXi 4.1 Implementation Manual and Best Practices?

Greetings:

We are on to our second vSphere 4.1 vDC installation, this time on EMC instead of Powervault.

I see there is a version 4 of the "Using EMC Celerra with VMware vSphere and VMware Infrastructure"  on Powerlink but there is no mention of ESXi.  The doc looks like it includes ESX v4 but again ESX presumes some access not available on ESXi.  I also have "Introduction to using EMC Celerra with VMware vSphere 4".

Are these documents valid for an ESXi installation or is there a better choice on VMware or EMC's site?

Second question - Is the Celerra plug-in for vCenter necessary or value added?

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Rick

ESX / ESXi in this case shouldn't make a difference from a best practice perspective. I would suggest following the guide,
