vRA 7.5 Not loading Custom Forms

Hi, Since i Upgraded to vRA 7.5 the Custom Forms Aren't loading.

I just see a spinning Wheel. Anyone else seeing this issue

Hi daphnissov​, What is one fix to this Issue, recreate the Custom form within v7.5 ? or we forced to use the XaaS version

Definitely wouldn't use the XaaS option. I've heard of some people clearing cookies/cache and rebooting the café appliance. Still early so not a lot of reports to go on at this time.

Thanks, i will clear the cache and reboot the appliance and see what happens.

I've tried with another explorer. Installed Firefox. No dice.

If you press F5 and reload the page it usually works. But it's an extremely annoying issue. It happens on both of my test environments, and not only on Custom Forms, it sometimes happen on the Administration and Infrastructure tabs.

If I were you, I'd open an SR to get this tracked. When you get a response, please post it here so others can benefit.

I opened a SR on Monday - Status: Open (Wait on Engineering).

The CF is actually loaded but it stays in the back of "Loading...". You can see the form when you enable the debug mode in you browser and pull the debug frame up to the "Loading..." Icon.

Drink coffee.. Do stupid things faster with more energy...

I Also, opened a SR with VMware on this Issue, I'll imagine it will be awhile before i hear something. based on past experience

None at the Moment, I don't have a clue what's going on some people are facing issues when they try to request.

next time i think i'll wait before jumping on the bus

Any news from the support? Are they working on fix/workaround? Any time soon?

I opened a case about this earlier. It's something that's being worked on, it seems. No fix yet I was told.

For anyone on or reading this thread who is experiencing the issue, if you have active support please open an SR so GSS knows the impact of this issue. It may help in expediting the process in creation of this patch.

In my case, the key reason to move to 7.4 was new custom forms. My customers are in love of this feature, we finally made nice looking portal with additional logic to make request even simpler and intuitive for them (inputs checks, dynamically populated fields etc). To me upgrade to 7.5 (where this stuff is broken) would be a huge disaster. It is one thing when something is broken in EB or ORchestrator (i can deal with it), but when customer's portal (the highly visible part of the vRA) doesn't work - it makes no good for us to justify vRA's budgets.

Certainly understand and I would hold off myself knowing what we now know. This is why I never recommend--for any product--jumping to a new GA release immediately. I always give it at least a quarter to bake and let people find the bugs for me.

a fix for the issue is in the works, currently being validated.

we are planning to include it in the Ist hotfix update (vRA 7.5 HF1)

That's great news that they are hotfixes are on the way..

Currently, I trained people up on how to use Cloud Client which removes the whole headache of the forms not loading.

Less Techy people I have switched back to XaaS layout, so they are still able to use to portal.
