vc 2.5 to manage esx 3.03 to test update manager

Can the update manager be simulated to use vc2.5 on esx 3.03 instead of 3.5?

yes, since update manager is a plugin for VC 2.5 you should be able to remediate and update your 3.0.3 hosts
