long time no see - it´s the HA agent again, but now...

it´s different;)

I just REMOVED a esx 35u2, latest patches, machine FROM a cluster. Rebootet it, and voila, HA Agent has an error. Now that is strange as it is no longer part of a cluster. Any idea how i can get rid of this error message?

best regards

Joerg

Even though you restarted, when it's up, try 'service mgmt-vmware restart'

Log in, and run 'rpm -qa |grep -i aam' . This will let you know if the package is installed on the esx host.

Last thing is to disable ha on your cluster, and re-enable it.

you may want to check the DNS and host name setting for your esx. Example, if you had ESXHOST1 and esxhost2 cluster as HA, the upper case and lower case different will generate the HA error. The quick solution is, go to command prompt at the ESX server, do a hostname change to lower case, and reconfigure the HA. this should able to fix it.

You should have a descriptive error event under the Tasks& Events Tab, have a look at the events for that host.
