how to delete snapshots of a template?

i remediate a template using update manager, it auto create a snapshot. it convert to a template after all patches installed.

when i want to convert it to a virtual machine, below warning messages displayed:

reverting to snapshot might generate errors(warnings) on the destination host.

i don't want it revert because i have installed patches, but i find nowhere to delete snapshot since it's a template. anybody helps?

You can use vmware-cmd command to remove snapshots from the command line, but the warning you received appears to be informational.

I would try to convert to a virtual machine, because you can remediate the vm, as you did the template, just to verify. Then log in and remove the snapshot, if it still exists.

i solve this question:

1) unregister template

2) in CLI, rename .vmtx to .vmx

3) register VM

4) delete snapshot

5) convert VM to template

don't remediate a template since it will create a snapshot by default and you can't see it until you convert it to a VM.
