Transaction log gets full within 20-30 mins

Hi folks,

I have virtual center server 2.5.0 , recently started facing problem with this , regarding the transaction logs getting full within 20-30 mins (21GB) wheras the database is only 4 GB... i checked the VC logs, but everything seems to be as used to be , its keep on sync with the hosts , which is normal i think.

Any idea how to get out of this.

I would create a support request right away and until resolved set the database protection to simple on the virtualcenter database (this will make the transaction log circular and keep the size down, but you will be unable to do a point in time recovery).

Check the Dabase "Recovery Mode" in properties. If it is set to full, i would advice you to set it to "simple" and truncate your logs once.

You should be fine after that.

Have you run a SQL trace to see what is generating all transactions?

Hey Guys,
