How do I backup vCenter roles and permissions

As you know vCenter roles and permissions are stored locally in an ADAM database, even when the main inventory SQL server database is on another system.   I am backing up my SQL server database seperately but not backing up the local ADAM database.  What is the best way to backup the ADAM database if hypervisor level backups of vCenter server are not available? vCenter server is virtualized and unfortunately only in-guest backup agents are allowed by this company, not backups of VMDKs.  VADP capable solutions are not allowed.   Thanks!

this information is part of the VCDB as well, and if you backup the VCDB you will be covered.  However, you can manually backup ADAM if desired.
