Can I add a vm to a dvswitch without using vcentre?

Afternoon,

Our vcentre isnt configured to manage the dvswitches on the host - bit of a long story.

Until it does, can we use command line to add a vm to a dvswitch?

If so, can someone help me out with that?

Thanks

Martin

vCenter is required to setup and manage a distributed switch.

I'm not aware of any method to change a VM's networking over to a vDS without vCenter. I did find a link to an older communities question that seems very similar to yours, hopefully it helps.
