Looks like this works nicely ...
Install Vi-client somewhere. Install vSphere-client somewhere else.
Then copy both directories to a machine with a fresh install of dotnet2.
You do not need dotnet3 !!!
So far I did not notice any problems.
I wonder why vSphere-client comes with dotnet3 ???
