Is there a publicly available API to get the mapping of virtual disks on physical LUNs?

Being in a development need recently, I learned that the hidden command vmkfstools -t 0 gets the mapped blocks of virtual disks on physical LUNs:

[ 0: 117440512] --> [VMFS -- LVID:651285d2-46059dc2-1ac2-b4055d862ec5/651285d1-13ef519c-16f4-b4055d862ec5/1:( 358648643584 --> 358766084096)]

Also learned what the various parts of this represent, but alas, I wish there was a relevant API to get at this information, and I found some other people's solutions in the discussion, but I'm sorry it's too far back in time for me to get any useful information out of it. The only thread of interest was this one: vim.hostblockinfo.vmfsmapping

I'm wondering if VMware makes this API publicly available and if I need some other way or a partnership with VMware to be able to use it? Thanks in advance for any help here!

I am  not aware of anything like this, however, if you have Aria Operations you might be able to create a custom dashboard that would show this.  we have something like this on our aria ops but of course right now, Aria Ops has a storage issue!

Indeed, that's the API I found from an article about Aria Operations (formerly vRealize Operations), but unfortunately I don't have that product, maybe I can look more closely in that way. Thanks for the suggestion!
