Hello everyone,
I'm working on company that gives consulting for VMware platforms. We have different versions on our customers from ESXi/vCenter 6.5 to 7u2 and all of them up to latest package(including VMTools). This issue started 1 month ago i don't know why but randomly 1 or 2 (for now it has been total 9 VMs with this problem) Windows 2012 R2 or 2016 Server crashes and doesn't boot up until i disable "Driver Signature Enforcement" or reinstall VMTools. I checked the logs for VMTools and Application/System Logs but there is no error. Is there a known issue about this? VMTools cause this problem but is it from Windows Updates?
Hi,
maybe this KB does explain why.
Removal of Windows Update published PVSCSI driver version 1.3.18.0 (86053)

If you configured your Windows VMs to use pVSCSI, yes!
