If SSO Server restarted will it disconnect existing Users sessions???

Dear Team,

we have installed Windows Update on SSO server , before restarting the same just want to confirm some users are already authenticated with SSO and connected to VC  through vpshere client, if we restart SSO server then will there any impact on existing User's session which are connected to VC through vsphere client ???

Note : SSO , MSSQL Database & VC server are installed on different VMs.

Need ur assistance on the same.

Mr VMware

No and according with the bellow link, if the user logged on vCenter (with Use Windows Session Credentials checked) before SSO goes down, the user can login again without problem even with SSO offline.

When SSO goes bye bye, things get interesting « Cloud-Buddy

Your session will continue from VI client as Richardson pointed out. Please the read the blog as well for more insight.

Nonetheless,

You can not login from web client & even existing session will be dropped. The reason is SSO maintains all the identity source related services, STS (STS is used by look up service internally).
