vSphere packet capture

I am trying to verify that my pings are reaching my vsphere management vmkernel interface.

I am using the command 'pktcap-uw --vmk vmk0'

The output is kind of greek to me.  Is there a way to read the output so I can tell if I am hitting the interface?

You can export the result in the PCAP extension, instead of showing them in the CLI environment. Then use GUI tools like the Wireshark to investigate and analyze them.
