Hello. I'm trying to increase the volume of the datastore which is located at EMC Dell.
On EMC, I increased the size, after scanning I see the following picture:
How to increase the size here, through increase:
I don’t understand what needs to be done to increase the size.
please tell me
As it turned out in the web version, this is a glitch, I opened version 5 through the client and expanded everything through an incore

Hi,
Go to the storage tab and select the datastore, then go to configure tab -> general and presss the increase button.
Regards,
Karl
It was an obvious way, but it doesn’t display anything to me there (
Did you do a rescan on all storage adapter and VMFS volume's?
No, but where is it located?
performed this function, after it began to display the increased size in the device properties. But the VMFS does not expand
In the html client it is here.
I did everything, it still does not expand .. I also have this:
after scanning, he showed me that size in device detals 1.49TB and the size VFMS 1024GB
Increase Datastore Capacity - does not show these 500 GB
what am I missing? (
what's on EMC:
Now you go to storage tab and select the datastore, then go to configure tab -> general and presss the increase button.
Normally you shouldbe able to extend the datastore.
I've seen such issues with some recent vSphere versions, independent of the storage array used.
What helped was to run vmkfstools -V (not the upper case "V") on all hosts to rescan the storage.
You may want to run the command again on all hosts after increasing the datastore.

I encountered the same issues and now I could expand the disk. Thank you so much for your help
and if I have an array of ESXi servers. it will not hurt?
in this case, you need to go on and run on each server?
and can somehow influence the LUN numbers on each host?
