Hopeing someone can answer this question i have.
Currently at home lab, i'm running 2 Dell servers, 1 HP Proliant, a Syno Rackstation storage and some small materials added.
Now, these are all running on the free ESX license, and they obviously have some restrictions when it comes to globally managing those with a vcenter or such.
I was recently looking at the VMUG Advantage to see to get my labo licensed like this, but there are some things not clear to me.
- Are you able to license only one ESX server with the VMUG Advantage?
- Are you able to license your ESXi machines running not the latest version?
Are you required to run the downloaded VMUG version?
(for ex. 1 is running 6.5, other one 7.0) but have driver issues with storage when ugprade on the 6.5 so would like to keep labo setup as is.
