ESXI host certificate status alarm

Hi All,

I have 9 esxi hosts include both 5.5 and 6.0. In this morning, most of my esxi hosts show 'ESXI host certificate status' alarm. I have never seen that issue before. How can I fix that and why does that alarm occur?

Certs have been updated recently or Expiration dates has reached. IIRC the checks comes with vCenter 6.0.

BTW: Support for 5.5 ends these days.

Hello,

Kindly advise if are you using the self signed certificate of VMware component, or you replaced it by yours.

If replaced, check the status of your certificate (expiration/validation/....)

I checked certificates from these hosts. Unfortunately, all of these will expire in end of August 2018. Now, I edited valid date in certmgmt and renewed all certs from these hosts. Now all good. Thanks
