  • 1.  Can I rename a Network

    VMware 6.7 U2 ESXi 6.7

    I have two ESXI host that when I created the Network I spelled it slightly different than on my other two hosts.

    One I used a lowercase letter and the other an upper case letter.

    The problem is when I vmotion server from one host to another I get a warning and I have to select the network.

    Is it possible to rename the network:

    My network names are

    VM Network iSCSI-1

    VM Network iSCSI-2

    VM Network ISCSI-1

    VM Network ISCSI-2

    Would like them all the same. what is the best method?

    Yes you can.

    1. Migrate all VMs to one Host and change Network during the vMotion
    2. Rename PortGroup  on the Host

    For the next project buy Enterprise Plus and use a vDS :smileywink:

    Thanks I found out where to change it

    I was planning to move all the VMS off the Host I am moving the hosts to a new cabinet be a good time to fix this one now
