Good, in a scenario of two VSAN nodes with 3 disk groups per node is it possible to configure a storage policy of ftt = 1 and pftt = 1?
as withness I am using the appliance version.
thanks
Hello eduruizblas,
Yes, this basically stores a copy of each data-replica on each data-node and all the Witness components on the Witness Appliance.
The only Storage Policies possible to use in this configuration of cluster are FTT=0,FTM=RAID0 (not recommended as no redundancy) or FTT=1,FTM=RAID1 .

Would it be possible in addition to the copy on each node that had a copy on the same node using the 3 disk groups to distribute the components?
eduruizblas, that wouldn't really make any sense as the components are already distributed a) evenly across both data-nodes (as they are mirrors of each other if using FTT=1), b) balanced across all available (and eligible) Disk-Groups on each node and c) placing more than one data-replica on a single node would violate the Storage Policy (e.g. it isn't FTT=1 if both copies (or part thereof) reside on one node).
